Virtual UI/UX Specialist for Mobile Apps

Let’s Talk About This Role

You know that moment when you open an app, and it just feels right? Smooth navigation, beautiful visuals, and not a single second of confusion. That’s the magic you’ll help create here. As our Virtual UI/UX Specialist, your work will shape the way people experience mobile apps from their very first tap.

This isn’t about following a design checklist. It’s about thinking like a real user, solving real problems, and making apps so intuitive that people forget they’re even using technology.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

Remote work can be tricky. It’s easy to feel like you’re on your own. Here, you’re never alone. We jump on quick calls, share screens, swap feedback, and yes—celebrate even the small wins. Like the time our designer Mateo fixed a tricky navigation bug, and the whole team cheered in Slack.

We keep things human, even when we’re behind a screen. You’ll have the freedom to create, experiment, and put your own spin on ideas. And if something doesn’t work? We tweak it together.

What You’ll Actually Do

Let’s keep this simple. You’re not just making things pretty; you’re making them work beautifully. That means:

  • Designing mobile app interfaces that feel natural and easy to use.
  • Mapping out user journeys so they’re smooth from start to finish.
  • Turning rough concepts into polished, clickable prototypes.
  • Testing designs with real people (and listening—really listening—to their feedback).
  • Working closely with developers to bring your ideas to life without losing the magic.

And yes, some days you’ll be deep in Figma, moving pixels around. Other days, you’ll be chatting with a developer about why that animation feels just a bit too slow.

How We Work Together

Ever been part of a team where ideas get lost in endless email threads? We don’t do that here. We keep our communication open and quick. We use real examples instead of long explanations. If something can be solved with a 2-minute screen share, that’s what we do.

We also believe good design comes from collaboration, not ego. Sometimes your first idea will be the winner. Other times, it’ll spark an even better one from a teammate.

The Kinds of Projects You’ll Touch

Imagine designing:

  • A health app that helps users track their daily habits with one tap.
  • A travel app where the booking flow is so simple, it feels like magic.
  • A social app that sparks connections without drowning users in notifications.

Each project is different, but the goal is always the same: make the app a joy to use.

The Skills You’ll Bring

Let’s skip the buzzwords and talk about what really matters:

  • You’ve worked on mobile app UI and UX before, and you understand both iOS and Android design quirks.
  • You’re comfortable in tools like Figma or Sketch.
  • You think about design from the user’s perspective, not just the designer’s.
  • You care about details—whether it’s spacing, colors, or that perfect swipe gesture.
  • You can explain your design choices in plain English, not just design jargon.
  • You’re curious, adaptable, and not afraid to try new approaches.

A Day in This Role Might Look Like

Morning: You hop on a quick call with the product manager to understand the latest feature update.

Midday: You sketch a few ideas for a new onboarding flow, then share them in Figma for quick feedback.

Afternoon: You run a quick usability test with three users. One of them gets stuck at step two. You note it, brainstorm a fix, and push the update.

Some days will be fast-paced. Others will give you time to go deep into design details. It’s never boring.

The Remote Life Here

We get it. Working from home can blur the lines between work and life. That’s why we make space for both. We keep meetings short and focused. We trust you to manage your time. And we make sure you feel part of the team, whether you’re dialing in from a city apartment or a quiet spot in the countryside.

Remember that feeling when you launch a design and see real people loving it? That’s what we’re chasing.

Tools & Tech You’ll Use

  • Design: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD
  • Prototyping: InVision, Marvel, Principle
  • Collaboration: Slack, Zoom, Miro
  • Testing: UserTesting, Maze

You don’t have to know them all on day one, but you should be ready to learn quickly.

What Success Looks Like Here

You’ll know you’re doing great when:

  • Users complete tasks without thinking twice.
  • The dev team says your designs are easy to implement.
  • Feedback sessions turn into high-fives instead of long debates.
  • You see your designs live in the app store, making thousands of people’s lives easier.

Growth Opportunities

We’re big on helping people grow. If you want to lead projects, mentor junior designers, or explore motion design, we’ll back you. The role can grow with you—your ambition sets the pace.

What You’ll Get in Return

  • Annual Salary: $110,850
  • Full remote flexibility.
  • A team that values creativity, empathy, and getting things done.
  • Real influence on projects that reach thousands of users.
  • A supportive environment where your voice matters.

Our Culture in a Nutshell

We believe in small wins, fast feedback, and real connections. We share playlists, swap weekend stories, and yes—sometimes debate over which emoji belongs in the brand guide. It’s not about pretending to be perfect; it’s about building something we’re proud of, together.

Let’s Build Something Amazing Together

If you’re ready to design apps that people can’t help but love, we’d be excited to have you. Bring your ideas, your creativity, and your eye for detail. We’ll bring the projects, the support, and the team that’s ready to back you up.

The next great app experience? It could have your name on it.
