Virtual Learning Assessment Consultant Work From Home
Description
Virtual Learning Assessment Consultant (Remote)
Make an Impact Without Leaving Your Home
You know that moment when something clicks for a learner? That “aha” when all the hard work pays off? Here, that feeling is what we live for. As a Virtual Learning Assessment Consultant, you help make that happen—day in and day out—without ever setting foot in a classroom.
This isn’t your average desk job. It’s flexible, human-first, and rooted in real impact. You’ll help us understand how people learn, what they need, and how to improve digital education—one step, one insight, one learner at a time.
What You’ll Actually Do Each Day
Dive Into Digital Learning
You’ll get your hands dirty (in a good way) with learning platforms, online assessments, and learner data. The goal? Spot what’s working, flag what’s not, and help shape better learning tools.
- Review and assess virtual course outcomes.
- Collect and analyze feedback from learners and facilitators
- Work with e-learning tools like Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, or Google Classroom
Make Sense of the Data
Ever looked at a report and thought, “What does this really mean?” That’s where you come in.
- Use qualitative and quantitative methods to measure learning effectiveness
- Turn metrics into insights people can actually use
- Recommend changes that help teams hit learning goals faster
Talk With Humans (Not Just Spreadsheets)
Remote doesn’t mean isolated. You’ll chat with instructional designers, meet with project teams, and occasionally jump into a brainstorming session where coffee and jokes are just as crucial as KPIs.
- Support project teams by providing insights and recommendations
- Share reports that are smart and easy to understand
- Present your findings clearly and confidently—yes, even over Zoom
Who You’ll Work With (And What It’s Like)
Small Team, Big Heart
You won’t be buried in red tape or endless meetings. Our team is lean, focused, and here to get things done—but we’re also the kind of folks who drop GIFs in Slack and remember your dog’s name.
- Weekly huddles to stay connected
- Real-time feedback—no waiting months for reviews
- Quick wins are celebrated just as loudly as significant milestones
A Typical Project? Not So Typical
One week, you might be helping an online university tweak its digital quizzes. Next, you’re reviewing feedback from corporate training across three countries. It keeps things fresh, trust us.
What You Bring to the Table
You Get Learning
Not just as a buzzword—you understand how people learn. You’ve either worked in education, instructional design, or a related field where knowledge transfer matters.
- Experience with adult learning principles
- Familiarity with remote learning platforms
- You’ve seen firsthand how a solid assessment can change outcomes
You’re Comfortable With Data (But Don’t Speak Robot)
Sure, you can run stats. But more importantly, you can explain them in plain English. That’s a rare combo—and a considerable part of this role.
- Solid skills in Excel, Google Sheets, or similar
- Experience with surveys, interviews, or focus groups
- You know how to tell the story behind the numbers
You’re a Natural Communicator
Whether you’re writing up your findings or chatting with a team, you know how to keep things clear and human. People trust you because you say what you mean and back it up with facts.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Comfortable working async or on video calls
- Able to tailor your tone depending on the audience

A Few Honest Realities
Remote Life Isn’t Always Easy
Let’s be real—it can get lonely. But we keep the energy up with regular check-ins, open Slack threads, and the occasional virtual trivia night.
You’ll Juggle a Few Things
Projects shift. Priorities change. Sometimes you’ll be reviewing assessments in the morning and writing a strategy brief by lunch. But that’s the thrill of it—no two days are the same.
A Real Story From the Team
Last quarter, we worked with a nonprofit that trains adults in rural areas on digital skills. The assessments weren’t connecting—learners felt lost halfway through. One of our consultants redesigned the evaluation flow, added plain-language instructions, and made sure the feedback loop worked. Three weeks later, completion rates jumped 25%.
That’s the kind of ripple effect we’re talking about.
Why This Role Matters
Online learning isn’t going anywhere. And if we want it actually to work—for everyone—it needs people like you behind the curtain. People who care, who notice the details, and who believe in learning as a tool for real change.
This isn’t just a role. It’s a chance to shape how education evolves.
Are you Ready to Jump In?
If you’ve been nodding along while reading this, let’s talk. You don’t need to tick every box. Just bring your curiosity, your care, and your willingness to dive in.
Remote doesn’t mean distant. Here, your voice matters—and the work you do really moves the needle.
