What You’ll Do as a Virtual Image Consultant
Style Guidance for Real People
Every day, you’ll hop into virtual sessions with individuals who are looking to sharpen their image. Some are stepping into new leadership roles. Some are reentering the workforce. Others want to feel more like themselves. You’ll:
- Help them define their personal style
- Recommend colors, outfits, and accessories that work for their goals
- Offer practical grooming tips (yes, even on Zoom)
- Guide them through wardrobe edits and innovative additions
- Build confidence, not just closets
Balance Tech and Human Connection
Sure, we use virtual fitting tools and wardrobe planning apps. But nothing beats empathy and a trained eye. You’ll blend both. Our clients don’t just want pretty outfits. They want to feel seen.
Collaborate with a Remote-First Team
You won’t be in this alone. You’ll be chatting with fellow consultants, sharing “before-and-after” wins, and trading client stories in our Slack channels. One of our favorite moments? When Jordan helped a nervous job-seeker land their first on-camera interview—and they nailed it.
A Day in the Life
Sample Daily Schedule
- 9:00 AM: Coffee and a quick team huddle on Zoom. Maybe we can share a recent style win or discuss a tricky client ask.
- 10:00 AM: You meet with Maya, a young manager who wants to dress more confidently at work. She’s been living in hoodies. You help her swap in pieces that feel elevated and true to her.
- 12:00 PM: Break for lunch. (And yes, we believe in real lunch breaks.)
- 1:00 PM: You prep a personalized style board for a client. You’re using their Pinterest inspo, personality test results, and a few of your go-to looks.
- 3:00 PM: Another client call. This time it’s Chris, who needs head-to-toe advice for a big keynote.
- 5:00 PM: Wrap up. You jot down notes, set up tomorrow’s fittings, and maybe leave a fire emoji on a teammate’s before/after transformation post.

Strong Styling Intuition

Tech-Savvy and Resourceful

Requirements and Preferences
What You Must Have
- 3+ years in image consulting, personal styling, or something similar
- Strong virtual presence—people should feel comfortable with you from minute one
- A portfolio or stories that show how you’ve helped folks feel confident
- Solid communication skills—spoken and written
- You know how to take charge of your time and get things done without needing someone to check in on you every hour.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience coaching for public speaking, leadership, or interviews
- Fashion or psychology background (yep, they’re more connected than you think)
- Knowledge of inclusive styling and diverse body types
- Previous remote or freelance work
Compensation and Benefits
