Key Responsibilities

Accurate Code Assignment

• Review patient medical records to determine proper assignment of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes.
• Apply national and local coding guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance and ethical practices.
• Interpret clinical documentation with a keen eye to detail, ensuring all diagnoses and procedures are fully captured for reimbursement accuracy and compliance.

Audit and Review Processes

• Participate in internal audits to ensure accuracy and identify areas for documentation improvement.
• Provide feedback to providers and teams to enhance documentation standards.
• Correct billing errors as needed, reducing risk and promoting clean claims submission in alignment with payer policies.

Data Integrity and Quality Assurance
