Online Organizational Development Manager
Description
Online Organizational Development Manager (Remote)
Why This Role Matters
You know that feeling when a team clicks? When things flow, ideas bounce naturally, and people genuinely want to show up. That doesn’t happen by accident. It’s carefully nurtured. And that’s precisely where you come in.
We’re looking for someone who gets people. Someone who knows how to shape culture, align goals, and build the kind of internal systems that let folks thrive. If you’re passionate about helping teams do their best work—and you love putting structure behind the scenes—you might be the perfect fit.
Here, you’ll have the space to do work that matters. And you’ll do it remotely, on your terms, with people who value connection, clarity, and impact.
Key Responsibilities and Day-to-Day Impact
Design and Drive Organizational Growth
- Map out what organizational growth looks like for us. Not just charts and roles, but real pathways.
- Develop frameworks for leadership development, team upskilling, and career movement.
- Spot gaps before they show up—and build bridges.
Foster and Strengthen Remote Team Culture
- Help us answer big questions like: Who are we? What do we stand for? How do we work best together?
- Create rituals, team check-ins, and fun moments that keep remote work human.
- Make sure our values show up not just on paper, but in our day-to-day work.
Build Systems That Empower and Scale
- Create processes that grow with us, not slow us down.
- Develop performance tools that actually help, not just tick boxes.
- Support hiring and onboarding with tools that make people feel confident from day one.
Create Feedback Loops That Work
- Talk to people. Run surveys. Host feedback sessions.
- Spot themes and trends early, then act fast.
- Collaborate with leads to turn feedback into tangible improvements.
What Sets This Role Apart
Let’s be honest—Organizational Development Manager can mean a million things. But here, it means you’ll shape the entire experience of working here. From how we communicate to how we promote folks, your fingerprints will be on everything.
We’re not just scaling our team. We’re building something intentional. That means every system, every meeting, every moment matters. And you’ll be the one making sure it all fits together.
Who We Are
We’re a fully remote, fast-growing company with big goals. You won’t find a heavy hierarchy here. No bloated middle management or endless approvals. Just smart people, working hard and having fun.
We value clarity, empathy, and results. We talk a lot (Slack is our lifeline), but we also protect deep work time. Weekly huddles keep us connected, and shoutouts keep us motivated. Honestly? It feels good to work here.
Qualities That Help You Thrive
The Right Mindset
- You’re curious. You ask questions. You want to understand how things really work.
- You’re people-first. Systems are tools. People are the point.
- You’re strategic. You think big picture, but you’re not afraid to get in the weeds.
- You’re a builder. You love turning vague ideas into something solid.
- You’re empathetic. You know that change can be hard, and you guide it with care.
What Success Looks Like
By Month 3
- You’ve built relationships across the company.
- You’ve identified key gaps in how we work and shared a roadmap to improve them.
- People feel seen, heard, and excited.
By Month 6
- Our onboarding is smoother.
- Leaders feel supported.
- Our values show up in tangible, visible ways.
By Month 12
- We’ve grown, but things still feel aligned.
- Teams are collaborating better.
- There’s less confusion, more momentum.
Real Wins From Our Team
Last quarter, we realized some new hires were feeling a bit lost in their first two weeks. Instead of shrugging, our team lead, Emma, teamed up with ops to create a new onboarding flow—checklists, welcome videos, even a buddy system. It changed everything.
Or take our feedback sessions. They used to be rare and awkward. Now? We’ve got monthly roundtables where folks actually speak up. Why? Because someone (maybe you!) made them feel safe enough to do so.
These moments matter. And we want more of them.
Tools and Platforms You’ll Use
- Slack, Notion, Zoom (yep, the usual suspects)
- CultureAmp or similar for surveys
- Airtable or Asana for process mapping
- Google Workspace (because it works)
- Maybe something you introduce (we’re all ears)
Your Background and Experience
Must-Have Skills
- A few years’ experience in org development, people ops, or similar
- Comfort working remotely with async teams
- Experience designing systems and processes that scale
Nice-to-Have (But Not Required)
- Experience with change management or remote-first environments
We care more about how you think, solve, and connect than ticking every box.
Compensation and Benefits
What You Get
- $156,000 annual salary (fixed, transparent)
- Full-time remote setup: work from anywhere
- Annual wellness stipend
- Professional development budget
- Flexible hours (results > hours logged)
- Weekly team hangs (virtual, fun, not forced)
What We Don’t Do
- Micromanagement
- Endless meetings
- Bureaucracy
- Fluff, ego, or silos
We keep it lean, collaborative, and honest. If we don’t need a process, we don’t build it. If something’s not working, we say so and fix it. It’s not perfect, but it’s honest.
Ready to Build Something That Lasts?
If you’ve read this far, maybe this sounds like the kind of work you’ve been waiting for. Something with meaning. Something you can shape from the ground up.
We’re not after perfect. We’re after people who care. People who think, “Yeah, I can do this. And I can make it better.”
If that’s you, let’s talk.
